Beneath the surface lies a tale (read below), however, fundamentally, this vehicle was built by Masami Hirosaka and his father to join the 2001 World Championships. Regrettably, due to the tragic events of 9/11 in New York, all plans for travel were postponed – and so was the race. This vehicle never had the chance to be seen.
Yet, two decades later, GForce has united with the Hirosakas to unveil 100 of these amazingly Limited Edition models for purchase.
“Masami Hirosaka, known for his prowess in RC car racing, and his father Masaaki, elevated to champion mechanic when Masami clinched the IFMAR Off-Road World Championship in 1987. Their reign in the 4WD arena remained unchallenged until 1993. Despite a slip in 1995, Masami recaptured the title in 1997.
However, the journey to the 1999 World Championship took an unforeseen turn when they fell short in qualifying. This bitter setback was a harsh blow for Masaaki and Masami. Determined to reclaim their glory at the 2001 World Championship, they embarked on crafting a prototype car for victory. After numerous trials and tribulations, they ultimately perfected a prototype in 2001. Regrettably, the championship was deferred due to the events of September 11 in the United States. Opting out of the 2002 and 2003 World Championships, the Hirosakas disbanded the team in 2004 as Masaaki decided to pursue his personal route. Thus, the chance to partake in the World Championship with their covert car slipped away forever.
Now, two decades onward, the legendary Off-road car, once thought lost to the shadows, has been reawakened.”
