Regarded as one of the most precise sports coupés on the road, the BMW M4 CS offers a remarkable yet premium enhancement for those seeking more than the standard M4 model. While in regular use, the CS model might not show significant deviations from its base counterpart, it undeniably shines in terms of exclusivity.

Following in the footsteps of Porsche’s successful tiered model strategy with the 911, BMW introduces the M4 CS as a prime example, featuring a slight horsepower boost to 550hp, refined suspension adjustments, decreased weight, and an array of carbon fiber elements. These unique design features are sure to attract potential customers.

A few years ago, it was inconceivable at BMW’s Garching M GmbH – the introduction of an enhanced sports variant labeled the BMW M4 CS equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive configuration. Despite the associated weight increase, the improvement in maneuverability, particularly near the performance limits, is striking. The enhanced drivability is noticeably enhanced on dry roads and in warm conditions, showcasing a more secure driving experience toward the vehicle’s limits. The synergy of racing tires and all-wheel drive module complements the braking, cornering, and subsequent full-throttle acceleration after corner exit.

The 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six powerplant of the M4 CS generates 550hp and 650Nm of torque, resulting in a maximum speed of 302 km/h with an exhilarating exhaust note from its titanium exhaust system. The driving sensation is awe-inspiring, with accurate steering unaffected by the power distribution to the front axle.

The M4 CS boasts an impressive interior and exterior design, showcasing lighter forged 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels fitted with Michelin Cup tires. Utilization of carbon fiber elements such as the roof, center console, and spoiler details reduce weight and amplify the car’s aggressive appearance. Despite the additional features, it remains at the same weight as the standard M4 Competition, thanks to the adaptive suspension and cooling system.

With a price tag of €160,000, the M4 CS significantly surpasses the base price of the standard M4 which initiates at €96,200. Despite the premium cost, the superior performance and exclusivity of the M4 CS position it as a coveted collectible item. Its impressive lap time of 7:21.989 seconds around the 20.832 km Nordschleife of the Nürburgring further solidifies its appeal to motoring enthusiasts.
