Latest Update: as of the latest report on Saturday, information has surfaced indicating that the G37 in the footage is confirmed to have been stolen. The driver remains on the run.
If one received sound driving instruction, responsible upbringing, or even a supportive circle of car enthusiasts, they would understand that illegal street racing and aggressive driving pose severe risks and could lead to life-altering consequences for oneself or others if an incident occurs. Regrettably, the operator of this Infiniti G37 in Southern California seemed oblivious to these facts and chose to indulge in reckless behavior along a highway spanning the cities of Colton and Fontana in Southern California. The outcome was disastrous.
During this race, the G37 driver swerved into an inner lane, evading a silver Toyota, then veered back to attempt to pass between an unseen black BMW and a semi-truck. The Infiniti driver used their driver-side door or fender to nudge the BMW aside, resulting in the BMW careening into the Nissan Altima it was competing against.
Subsequently, the BMW rebounded off the second competitor and spun out of control, ending up lodged beneath the semi-truck. The entire ordeal was recorded by a rear-facing camera and subsequently shared on Instagram by user fenderdefender, who alleged that the BMW driver is the mother of a close pal. The video has been mirrored for viewing purposes.
Regrettably for the BMW driver, the unfortunate incident did not conclude with being shoved under a truck by a reckless individual. The truck driver remained oblivious to the unfolding scenario behind them and misinterpreted the BMW driver’s actions as an attempt to traverse under their truck, leading to a derisive Facebook post directed at the driver.
If apprehended, the driver will confront an array of appropriate charges. Charges such as reckless driving, fleeing the scene of a collision, and engaging in street racing constitute merely the initial phase of this driver’s reckoning. Should they possess insurance (if any), they can anticipate a substantial escalation in monthly premiums to offset the expenses incurred by the wrecked BMW and the damaged trailer. That is, assuming they retain their driving privileges once all is said and done.
