What is Your Most Geeky Automobile Memorabilia?

Automobile merchandise, gear, collectibles—whichever term you fancy, it’s all hip and can even be quite compelling. I’ve touched on this topic previously. Whether you’re a novice car aficionado or a seasoned enthusiast, everyone appreciates a stylish car tee or cap. Perhaps even a couple, or four, or a storage facility full…

During yesterday’s team meeting, when this query surfaced, all eyes immediately turned to me (if such a gesture can be conveyed through a webcam), and understandably so. I’ve been amassing racing collectibles since my infancy (appreciation to my parents!), and beyond the typical shirt, cap, or banner, I possess some rather eccentric items that would likely elicit raised eyebrows.

How about unique hand-painted Scuderia Ferrari cereal dishes or a Michael Schumacher-themed shaving blade? If that doesn’t scream geeky, I’ll top it off with my Red Bull-era Sebastian Vettel beach wrap or Ferrari-era throw rug. Perhaps a Tecate beer can-shaped cap from Adrian Fernandez’s CART days could suffice.

Now, it’s your turn to spill the beans! What’s the quirkiest auto memorabilia you possess?

As a reporter, I’ve stumbled upon various odd trinkets like authentic thumb drives from manufacturers containing press kits—which used to be handed out for every new vehicle launch back in the day. Sometimes these were boring conventional USB sticks while on other occasions car companies got inventive and molded them into cool shapes. Nothing beats a pseudo .50 caliber bullet imprinted with Ram Trucks logos, really. Or can it? How about that toaster that imprints your toast with the silhouette of the Nurburgring?

Now, it’s your chance to chime in!
