Let’s kick off this week out in the western region at Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway situated in Victorville, CA. Over the weekend, they hosted the 14th JConcepts Mid Summer Shootout attracting 140 participants! Let’s delve into the team’s performance, starting with pilot Matthew Gonzales. Engaging in the Mod 2wd Buggy category, he clinched the victory! His comrades from JConcepts, Davey Batta (TQ & 2nd) and Levi Raymond (3rd), stood alongside him, marking a complete JConcepts podium dominance!
In the Mod 4wd Buggy division, Levi secured the 5th spot overall!
Chase Raymond, Levi’s brother and fellow JC racer, showcased his prowess in both Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes, grabbing the 7th spot in Mod 2wd and 3rd in the mod wheeler event!
Jeff Guest, a team driver, participated in the 40+ 13.5 4wd Buggy category, securing the TQ spot along with the first place!

Moving down to Arizona, we encounter pilot James Rodriguez as he recently raced at San Tan Speedway in San Tan Valley for the 3rd Round of the AZRC Summer Series. Competing in the Late Model and Outlaw Sprint divisions, he secured the 4th place in both events!

Heading up to Wyoming, we arrive at Sweetwater R/C Park in Rock Springs, where racer Shane Wheeler competed at the Wyoming State Championships.
He grabbed the TQ position but faced a DNF in the Sprint class. However, things looked up in the Midget class as he crossed the finish line in the 1st place!

Dropping by Texas, we head to RCCA (RC Car Club of America) in Forth Worth, where racer Kyle Wilson participated in Round 2 of their Summer Series, securing the 2nd place in the Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy class! Accompanying him on the podium in the 1st place was his teammate Mike Stoll!

Let’s head down to Justin, Texas, where you’ll find Thompson R/C Raceway. Over the weekend, the RC Pro Series took place there, and Kevin Lenderman from the team secured the top spot and victory in the Street Stock category!

Moving northwards, we arrive at Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK for our next update.
At the recent 2024 SC Mod Shootout hosted by Taylor Park, Kevin Mcnatt secured the TQ position and emerged victorious in the SC Mod class!
Tyler Keel, another JC driver, also participated in the Open Sprint class at this event. He clinched the TQ spot and finished as the runner-up!

Let’s continue to Missouri for updates from the team competing at various events. Our first visit is in Pacific where Bigfoot 4×4 Inc is based. They recently organized an open house simultaneously with an RC event by Trigger King R/C. Chris Parrish, a team driver, dominated the Retro Monster Truck Racing class, securing the win with his Bear Foot Racer! Additionally, his Firepower truck finished 2nd in the ProMod class!
Another JConcepts teammate, Jeremy Mark, participated in the Retro and Sport Mod classes at this event, making it into the semi-finals!

Moving on to Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, Missouri, where the 3rd round of their Slideways Dirt Oval Series took place. Jeremy Cathlina, representing the team, secured the TQ positions in the Open Sprint and Late Model classes and finished 2nd in Sprint. He also claimed victories in MidWest Mod and Open Late Model categories!

Continuing on I-35, we now reach Leighton Speedway in Leighton, IA. The venue hosted Round 2 of the King Of Iowa Series, where David Fast finished 5th in the 360 Sprint class and secured the victory in the 410 Sprint!

Continuing our journey north on I-35, we arrive in Minnesota and make a stop at NorthDivision where Loosenuts Raceway is situated. The most recent round of the MNRC Nitro Race Series was hosted by them over the weekend. Participating in three categories was team driver Joe Scaramell. His placements were in the lower mains for 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 11th position in 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy, and 6th spot in 40+ 1/8 Electric Truggy! Additionally, his family business contributed as a sponsor to this race, bringing a total of 80 door prizes for the participants!
Josh Ford, another member of Team JC, participated in the event as well. His results were 8th place in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and a victory in 1/8 Nitro Truggy! Standing alongside him on the truggy podium was his JConcepts colleague, Tony Sletten!

Crossing over Lake Michigan, we arrive at R/C Raceway at Novi Water Tower Park in Novi, MI. Team driver Jeff Todd participated in the second race of their points series and concluded the event in the lower mains of the 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Venturing down to the “Hoosier state,” we encounter team driver Charles Hicks. He recently participated in the Hoosier Classic trophy race at ARC Park (Advance RC Park) in Advance. After the competition concluded, he secured a 2nd place finish in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy!

Heading to Kentucky, we witness how the team wrapped up the recent Nitro vs. Electric cash race at DRCR in Hazard. Taking the spotlight first is team driver Wade Piggott, who achieved the TQ in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy category and clinched the 2nd position. He also secured another 2nd place finish in the cash race, earning $150 for his efforts!
Another team driver, Bella Rogers, also participated in the same categories. Her performance resulted in a 3rd place finish in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and a magnificent display of securing the TQ and victory in the cash race, bringing home $500 in cash! Who says RC racing doesn’t bring rewards?

Progressing to Mississippi, we visit 342 RC Speedway in Pontotoc. There, team driver Drew Spurgeon participated in their King of the Hill trophy event. His excellent performance resulted in double TQ and victories in the Late Model and MidWest Mod classes!

Our next destination is the Rocket City Radio Controlled Race Club (RC3) in Huntsville, AL. They recently organized their inaugural point series race, and team driver Randy Enger left his mark by securing the TQ and triumph in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro classes.Problematic categories!

Let’s soar to Florida now and glimpse how the squad wrapped up Round 3 of the Florida RC Championships hosted at Callahan Off-Road RC Raceway in Callahan. Beginning with pilot Gene Shrout Jr., he informed us about clinching the top qualifier position and triumph in the 1/8 Electric Buggy division, and also securing another victory in the 4wd Short Course Truck group! Sharing the SCT podium in the runner-up spot was teammate Joshua Vicidomini!
JConcepts’ racer Patrick Rossiter Jr. also participated in this round, securing the 2nd position in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy and claimed the top spot in Pro 1/8 Nitro Truggy!
Pilot Ajay Johnson dominated the 40+ 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy races by seizing the top qualifying slot and overcoming an unfortunate situation in the nitro category, emerging victorious in the electric class! Standing beside him on the 40+ e-buggy podium was fellow JC racer Tony Rivas in 5th place!

Embarking on the journey up the east coast, let’s halt in North Carolina for team updates.
Commencing with pilot Josh Parrish, he shared his endeavors in Round 5 of the MidWeek Mayhem Series at Thunder Alley R/C Speedway in Lucama, achieving the top qualifier and victories in the Mod 4wd and 2wd Buggy classes, in addition to triumphing in 17.5 2wd Buggy!

Continuing on, let’s receive our next update from pilot Ryan Rand. The second round of the TSOC (Two States One Championship) Series took place at Days of Thunder RC Raceway in Lumberton, where Ryan secured the 3rd spot in 1/8 Electric Truggy, clinched the top qualifier and secured the 2nd place in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy, triumphed in both the qualifying round and final in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Truggy segment, and ultimately triumphed again in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy event!

Our final update this week comes from pilot John Cravotta. He recently competed at RC Madness in Enfield, CT in their Turf Wars trophy event, participating in the 17.5 and Mod 2wd Buggy classes along with 13.5 4wd Buggy. John rounded up the day with a 3rd place finish in the mod buggy category, secured the top qualifier status and grabbed the 4th position in 17.5, and also finished second overall in the 13.5 wheeler! The victories in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy classes were claimed by JConcepts pilot Matt Sousa!
