Virgin Voyages hopes to lure remote workers with a month-long “Scarlet Summer Season Pass.” The work-from-home invitation is aimed at digital nomads and home workers looking for a change of scenery.

The Pass is, in fact, a discounted rate on four back-to-back cruises in the Mediterranean aboard ship Scarlet Lady. Guests can book consecutive sailings between June and September.

How much does it cost?

Four date options exist for each month-long voyage – June 9-July 7, July 7-August 4, August 4-September 1, and September 1-29. Cruise fare starts at $9,990, representing savings of up to 30% compared to booking the four voyages independently.

Bookings can be made via Sailor Services or through a travel advisor. Passholders stay in a Central Sea Terrace cabin and include a daily $10 coffee credit per cabin and priority booking for dining and shore excursions.

Includes Upgraded Wi-Fi Package

The remote worker’s most essential tool – fast and reliable Wi-Fi – is already included in Virgin cruise fares. Cruisers who buy the pass will get upgraded for free to the cruise line’s Premium Wi-Fi package.

Scarlet Lady recently upgraded connectivity with integrated SES Cruise mPOWERED + Starlink PRO. It says this offers up to 1.5 Gbps per ship.

“I’ve never thought of work and play as two different things, it’s all just living. We want to give Sailors that same opportunity to travel the world while working aboard our ships,” said Richard Branson, Virgin Group Founder.
