When considering the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, speed may not be the first thing that springs to mind—unless you’re talking about the AMG E63 variant, which is distinctly performance-oriented. For some enthusiasts, the standard 577 horsepower generated by the car’s powerful Biturbo V8 just doesn’t cut it. This is where tuning companies like Brabus come into play, refining these top-tier sedans to new heights of performance. However, the emerging tuning company Posaidon is aiming to rival established names like Brabus by showcasing its own custom-modified Mercedes-AMG E63. The brand hopes this uniquely enhanced E-Class will establish its reputation in the tuning world.
As reported by Carbuzz, Posaidon has accomplished remarkable modifications to a Mercedes-AMG E63 S, boosting its output to an impressive 1,090 horsepower and 996 pound-feet of torque—an increase of 505 horsepower over the standard model. This enhancement was achieved through a careful mix of high-performance engine components and an ECU remap for the Biturbo V8 engine.
The redesigned vehicle includes a stainless steel performance exhaust, a larger intercooler, upgraded wheels, lowered suspension, and a reinforced transmission suited for handling the demands of nearly 1,100 horsepower. Posaidon has also significantly increased the engine’s displacement from 5.5 liters to 6.5 liters, allowing for a host of additional modifications. While Posaidon has not released extensive details about the vehicle, they are optimistic about its real-world capabilities, noting that the speedometer is calibrated to reach 380 km/h.
This heavily modified E-Class certainly stands out as a potential luxury sleeper car. With the distinctive roar of the E63’s enhanced Biturbo engine paired with the new exhaust, the driver could comfortably navigate the city streets in luxury while surprising sports car owners at traffic lights with sudden bursts of speed..
