FastCasual, in partnership with Lunchbox, a provider of restaurant technology solutions, has introduced the Top 30 Movers & Shakers: Catering list. This initiative highlights 30 influential leaders who are shaping the future of restaurant catering.
As the dining industry adapts to changing consumer preferences, catering has become a significant revenue source, projected to achieve $64 billion in 2024 and expected to grow to $124 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate of 10%. Notably, corporate catering is experiencing a revival as companies reinvest in events, meetings, and client engagement after the pandemic.
“Acknowledging these leaders is vital as catering takes center stage for restaurants aiming to stay competitive,” stated Cherryh Cansler, the editor of FastCasual. “These individuals are breaking new ground, and their contributions are driving the rapid development and transformation of catering.”
FastCasual and Lunchbox opened public nominations for the inaugural list, inspiring the industry to submit over 250 nominations for their favorite leaders and brands. After gathering the nominations, candidates were assessed based on the number of nominations and their impact on the industry.
