If you’ve spent any time browsing the web or driving on public roads, you’ve encountered questionably customized Jeeps. Bless ’em, but some Wrangler owners go overboard. One could argue this double-broad JK based in Morocco falls into that category, yet, it stands out for its originality.

The two-door vehicle, accommodating eight passengers—yes, eight—is housed at the Morocco National 4×4 Auto Museum in Merzouga. It’s not just for display; it’s functional. A 2013 YouTube video depicts it occupying more than a single lane, perplexing other motorists in passing.

Upon closer inspection, the vehicle is a spectacle. Pictures shared over time showcase its dual axles, double shocks, and more grille slots than usual. The central portion is perhaps the most peculiar, as it merges the two Wranglers. Beneath, a framework accommodates the inner wheels, with suspension elements attached for… stability, perhaps? It’s a mystery.

The widened Jeep features just one steering wheel, positioned entirely on the left side. While combining a left-hand-drive and right-hand-drive version might seem appealing, the current setup is already quite intricate. Those seated on the opposite end might serve better as observers.

Details regarding the powertrain are scarce, including whether it runs on one or two engines. Chances are it’s equipped with at least a V6, like a 3.6-liter or 3.8-liter variant depending on the model year. Interior photos confirm it to be automatic. I’ve tried reaching out to the museum (and other relevant parties) for further information but have not received any response yet. I’ll update this narrative if there’s a reply.

Additionally, within the museum is another Jeep with a striking bug-eyed appearance, narrowed for a dramatic effect. It’s designed for a single occupant and lacks a grille slot. Diverse tastes for different people, it seems.
