In Florida, a group of thieves entered the parking lot of a racing garage and made off with a tractor pulling a trailer that contained four Porsche race cars, as well as various auto parts and equipment. The owner of the professional racing team, Rennsport-one, claims the stolen items are valued at roughly $1.5 million.

This brazen theft was recorded on surveillance video early Sunday, August 25, at the Rennsport-one facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. Team owner Justin Bellinzoni reported to NBC6 that two individuals drove into the parking area and left quickly. About 20 minutes later, a thief exited with the team’s big rig, prompting a search effort that has yet to locate the stolen race cars, as shared by the team on Instagram.

Despite the Rennsport-one big rig having a GPS locator installed, Bellinzoni and a private investigator he engaged have been unable to trace it. The last recorded position of the tractor and trailer did not yield any positive results, according to NBC6. While Miami-Dade Police have successfully recovered the truck, the trailer, which contained the valuable racing vehicles and gear, remains missing.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office has examined the truck for fingerprints, but efforts to locate the missing trailer continue. Bellinzoni stated, “The trailer is somewhere in South Florida, that’s all I know.” He further expressed his frustration, saying, “I was gutted, man. We work really hard for what we do and we need these cars to compete. We have commitments to our customers and obligations to fulfill, and to see cars disappear is gut-wrenching.”

Determined to retrieve the trailer along with the four Porsche cars it carried, the team owner took a more compassionate stance when speaking to reporters. He told NBC6, “Justice would be great, but I believe in forgiveness, and people make mistakes. What we really want is for our belongings to be returned so we can fulfill our commitments to our customers.”
