Cadillac has been flaunting its brand new V-LMDh racecar in multiple promotional videos, but solely in subdued testing liveries. Once they hit the track, a whole new display awaits, as the brand has finally revealed the eye-catching liveries to anticipate.
The trio of cars showcases gold, blue, and red hues, inspired by Cadillac’s iconic “V” badge. Each livery transitions to black towards the rear of the car, where a discreet Cadillac logo sits atop the vertical tail fin. To avoid any confusion, the brand’s name is also prominently featured.
Action Express manages the vibrant red No. 31 car, while Chip Ganassi Racing operates the sleek gold No. 1 vehicle. These cars will participate in the 2022 WeatherTech Sportscar Championship and the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The blue car, assigned No. 2, pays homage to Cadillac’s 1950 entry at Le Mans known as Briggs Cunningham’s “Le Monstre” and will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship, which also includes the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in its race schedule.
Their racing debut is slated for the Rolex 24 at Daytona on Jan. 28. As mentioned earlier, the Cadillacs have been undergoing testing, providing a unique auditory experience. These cars stand out on the grid with their naturally aspirated engines and exclusive cross-plane V8s, creating an unmistakable presence.
