The latest Vision Ralliart Concept from Mitsubishi, based on the Outlander, exudes a massive and bulging appearance, conveying a sense of (moderate) speed. This is not the sole vehicle that Mitsubishi will showcase at the Tokyo Auto Salon this weekend. Among the lineup at this year’s Japanese auto show, there will be a group of wonderfully customized vans, with the standout being perhaps the Delica D:5 Tough x Tough.

Despite its impressive name, there are many other reasons to admire it. The Delica exhibition van is adorned with various aftermarket enhancements that truly emphasize its toughness, such as Ralliart red mirror caps and fog light trims. It has also been slightly raised in suspension, fitted with 16-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, furnished with bumper guards and mud flaps all around. Featuring a rooftop carrier capable of holding a tent and sleeping pad, this vehicle becomes an excellent choice for overlanding, a popular activity.

Next in line is the K-EV Concept X Style—pronounced as “cross-style,” not “X-style.” Being fully electric, as implied by its name, this concept incorporates modern driver assistance systems and connectivity features. Its particularly notable aspect would likely be its aggressively styled Outlander SUV front merged charmingly onto the petite dimensions of a small van. While two-tone color combinations have become common, the X Style showcases a delightful baby-blue-and-beige pairing that is undeniably unique. Let’s normalize cars in blue-beige hues, shall we.

Mitsubishi doesn’t stop there, as they are also introducing the Minicab MiEV B-Leisure Style. Here’s a hint: the B-Leisure Style comes in a soothing green hue with a tent decal. This electric utility van, despite its more laid-back ambiance, is well-prepared for overnight escapades. It features an awning, camping table, and collapsible cot. The flat cargo area even includes a low table, a folding chair, a rug, and a MiEV Power Box to charge the vehicle and power everyday items like coffee makers and laptops.

It might be unlikely for any of these to be offered in the United States, at least not officially. However, we are simply pleased that someone at Mitsubishi is still enjoying themselves.
