A new electrified version of the Cadillac Escalade SUV is on the horizon, joining the ranks of the brand’s other electric vehicles, the Celestiq and the Lyriq. Dubbed the Escalade IQ, details about it have been scarce until now, with a recent teaser from the manufacturer shedding some light on what to expect.
The official unveiling of this new model is set for August 9, and glimpses from the teaser video provide a sneak peek into its unique features. For example, it seems likely that it will inherit the Celestiq’s expansive infotainment screen. Furthermore, design elements resembling the Lyriq, such as a elegantly lit front fascia, suggest an overall cohesive aesthetic. Performance-wise, it’s anticipated that it will rival trucks like the GMC Sierra and Silverado EV, offering up to 400 miles of range and over 500 horsepower.
Furthermore, it appears that the Escalade IQ could potentially feature the Celestiq’s electronically dimming roof. Its sleek aerodynamic wheels are expected to be as large or even larger than those found on Cadillac’s premium sedan. While the rear end design hints at similarities with the Lyriq, specifics remain somewhat obscured.
Prior to its August introduction, we can expect further teasers and insights into the all-electric Escalade IQ. Stay tuned for more updates as soon as they become available.
