Three-spoke wheels epitomize excellence in wheel design, and I stand firm on that statement. A quality set of tri-spokes has the ability to elevate the appearance of any vehicle, and this freshly customized Brabus Mercedes SL—named the 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition—showcases a particularly outstanding set of tri-spokes.

The Brabus 750 model goes far beyond just adding tri-spokes to a Mercedes SL; however, it’s hard to deny that they steal the visual spotlight. Each spoke set consists of double spokes, resulting in a distinctive “triple-double” design, a nod to basketball enthusiasts. The “Brabus Monoblock Evo II Platinum Edition” wheels boast a size of 22 inches at the rear (paired with massive 335/25 R22 tires) and 21 inches at the front (equipped with 275/35 R 21 tires), all finished in a sleek “Shadow Chrome” hue.

In homage to the founder of Brabus, the Bodo Buschmann Edition pays tribute to the Brabus 7.3S model, which was derived from the R129 Mercedes SL600.

True to Brabus tradition, the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged AMG V8 engine in the 750 version delivers an impressive 750 horsepower (hence its name) and 663 lb-ft of torque. Based on the Mercedes-AMG SL63 model, the Brabus 750 retains the same nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive system as the standard car, aiding in its 0-60 mph sprint time of 3.3 seconds. However, Brabus indicates that the top speed is electronically capped at 196 mph to safeguard the Continental SportContact 7 tires.

Additionally, the customary Brabus touch with extensive styling modifications is evident. Fans of the tuner’s signature carbon fiber and diamond-quilted leather design will find the 750 model captivating, with carbon fiber elements gracing both the exterior and interior, while the luxurious leather upholstery adds an extra touch of elegance to the seats.

A limited production run of only 25 units of the 750 Bodo Buschmann Brabus SL will be assembled, and with a price tag of $374,567 (€336,539), it commands a premium exceeding twice the starting price of an AMG SL. Hence, a genuine appreciation for tri-spoke wheels is a prerequisite for prospective buyers of this exclusive Brabus creation.
