Customers will be led through their purchasing journey by their Celestiq-certified preferred dealer and they will have the opportunity to craft and personalize their vehicle. It remains uncertain how extensive the customization will be and if it will match the standards set by brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley, who are ready to utilize a tree from your yard for trim if you desire.
Without the ability to test drive, or even sit in, the Celestiq just yet, it’s challenging to determine if it will live up to the typical standard of vehicles that customers are accustomed to in that price range. Nevertheless, on paper, it undoubtedly holds up. Its 111-kilowatt-hour battery is touted to deliver 300 miles of range, exceeding the new Rolls-Royce Spectre’s 102-kilowatt-hour battery and EPA-estimated 260-mile range. It also boasts 680 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds, surpassing the Spectre’s 577 horsepower and 4.4 seconds, respectively.
The Cadillac Celestiq will be meticulously crafted at GM’s Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. In the image accompanying Dias’ post, there are glimpses of the potential paint, interior, and trim choices Cadillac could offer and they appear rather quirky and intriguing. However, even more fascinating will be witnessing a “Hand Built in Michigan” plaque on the door sill of a $340,000 electric luxury vehicle.
