During recent dyno testing, the 2023 Acura Integra has demonstrated higher power output than Acura’s official specifications.

AHC Garage on YouTube tested a manual A-Spec variant and consistently recorded nearly 200 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Officially, the car is rated for 200 hp at 6,000 rpm and 192 pound-feet at 1,800 to 5,000 rpm, but these figures are typically measured at the crankshaft.

Accounting for a 15% drivetrain loss, the new Integra is estimated to generate around 230 hp at the crank. With a 10% loss assumption, the actual power output would be approximately 220 hp. These numbers exceed Acura’s stated 200 hp, showcasing the car’s true capabilities.

The AHC Garage documented all four dyno runs, noting that the initial run was conducted in the car’s VSA maintenance mode without dedicated cooling fans in front of the vehicle.

The underestimated horsepower aligns with the Honda Civic Si, which serves as the Integra’s foundation. Tuners Hondata previously discovered that the Civic Si produced more power than advertised during dyno testing in the past. Notably, car manufacturers like Honda, Acura, BMW, and Porsche have been suspected of downplaying power and torque figures, following a philosophy of underpromising and overdelivering.
