Recent Lincoln news revealed the launch of a limited Coach Door Edition of its Continental vehicle as a throwback to the 1960s. Commemorating Lincoln’s 80th anniversary, the brand released only 80 units with an initial price exceeding $110,000. And now, they are all sold.

As per Ford Motor Company, all 80 interested buyers for the luxurious Contie have been identified and will soon receive confirmation of their successful purchase next month.

“The feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive, surpassing the planned production for this special edition,” a statement from the brand read on Monday. “The 80 approved purchasers will be notified in February, and deliveries are scheduled for this upcoming summer.”

The distinct Lincoln Continental, appropriately named the Continental Coach Door Edition, is a joint project with Boston-based coach-builder Cabot, tasked with elongating the wheelbase by six inches and installing the signature coach doors. This edition is based on the exclusive Black Label trim, providing the most premium luxury experience available from Lincoln.

All units of the Continental Coach Door Edition will be equipped with Lincoln’s exclusive 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, delivering 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. It offers three driving modes – normal, sport, and comfort – to tailor the driving experience. The rear seating comprises two seats, a fixed central console with climate and audio controls, a slot for a tablet, collapsible tray tables, and additional legroom.

If you missed out on this opportunity, Lincoln has hinted at another production run in the future, with more details to follow. Until then, you might have to keep your fingers crossed for one of these limited editions to appear on the second-hand market later in the year.
