Tesla has announced that it will raise prices on its high-performance 100D and P100D models starting next week, as reported by Electrek. This announcement follows a recent reduction of $7,500 in the price of its most affordable vehicle, the Model S 75.

Effective April 24, the new pricing for the models equipped with the 100 kWh battery will be as follows:

  • Model S 100D:  $95,000 to $97,500
  • Model S P100D:  $134,500 to $140,000
  • Model X 100D: $98,500 to $99,500
  • Model X P100D: $135,500 to $145,000

In addition to these price increases, Tesla models featuring the 100-kWh battery packs will continue to be the exclusive vehicles in Tesla’s lineup equipped with the 72-amp charger. This charger allows for a charging rate of 46 miles of range per hour when used with Tesla’s Wall Connector. There will be no changes to the availability of Tesla’s Supercharger stations, which are accessible to all Tesla models.

According to Tesla:

“We regularly adjust our pricing and available options to reflect the true value of our products and meet our customers’ preferences. The updates today include small price reductions for our 75, 75D, and 90D models due to the discontinuation of our 60 kWh models, while slight price increases for our premium 100D and P100D models will be effective next week. We anticipate that our overall average selling price will remain nearly unchanged.

Price hikes for the 100D and P100D models will take effect on April 24, 2017, to accommodate customers currently in the ordering process, while the price reductions for the 75, 75D, and 90D models will take place today.”
