A prototype for Cadillac’s upcoming compact sedan, believed to be named the CT3, has been seen undergoing high-altitude tests in Winter Park, Colorado.

This particular test vehicle is camouflaged to mislead observers into thinking it is a Dodge Charger, as indicated by the design on the driver’s side door and the fake taillights. However, this is merely an illusion. The shape, disguise, and camouflage patterns of this prototype resemble those of another vehicle spotted by Car Scoops in August, which was identified as either a CT3 or CT4. Analysts tend to favor the CT3 designation, so we’ll proceed with that name.

Distinct features between the two prototypes include dual exhaust tips—compared to the quad tips of the previously spotted vehicle—a modified taillight design, and rear bumper cutouts, likely intended for sensors related to Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi-automated driving assistance system. Additionally, a QR code pattern is visible on the second-row window, although the photographer did not verify whether the QR codes linked to any online content, which is often the case.

The Drive has contacted Cadillac for more details and comments regarding this sighting, and we will provide updates once we receive a response.

Currently, not much information is available about the new Cadillac compact sedan, as the brand is primarily focused on replacing its ATS and CTS models with the midsize CT5. Similar to the CT5, there is hope for a “V” performance variant to be introduced for this smaller addition to the luxury GM lineup..
