McLaren is gradually unveiling its new supercar, the 720S, previously known as the P14, which will feature an innovative digital control panel allowing drivers to customize their drifting experience with a simple touch.

To showcase the vehicle’s drifting capabilities, McLaren shared a video of a camouflaged prototype being put to the test by chief test driver Chris Goodwin, dispelling any lingering doubts about its performance.

However, achieving smooth drifting in the new Super Series McLaren relies on more than just technology. Goodwin explains in the video that the car’s advanced MonoCage II carbon-fiber chassis, its mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, along with its suspension and tires, collectively contribute to the impressive drifting ability of the 720S.

Additionally, for those interested in the car’s braking performance, McLaren reports that the 720S can come to a complete stop from 124 miles per hour in just 4.6 seconds, provided it is equipped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. While this braking time may seem less impressive than its 7.8-second acceleration to the same speed, it remains an admirable feature.

McLaren is set to reveal the 720S in its entirety at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7th, and car enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the event..
