4×4 Recovery and Reversal Demonstrations
For newcomers to 4×4 driving or those in need of a refresher, Getabout Training Services and Tow-Ed will be conducting regular demonstrations on utilizing snatch straps, winching, towing, and reversing.
Outback Engineering Domain
An addition to the Sydney 4×4 & Adventure Expo this year is the Outback Engineering Domain, hosted by Geoff Lewis from Seriously Series and sponsored by Terrain Tamer 4×4. Visitors are encouraged to reserve a spot to attend one of the two daily sessions covering the basics of vehicle problems that may arise during travel and how to rectify them as simply as possible.
Tough Dog Traction Course
Enthusiasts interested in the technical components of 4×4 driving and vehicles should head over to the Tough Dog Traction Course, featuring specially designed ramps that showcase the suspension’s flexibility and the moment when traction is lost. Insights on overcoming such obstacles are also shared.
Hema Maps Voyage Presentation Stage
Another new attraction in 2024 is the Hema Maps Voyage Presentation Stage, offering visitors insider insights into famous Australian destinations. Tap into the experiences of those who have explored these destinations and learn from their adventures. The expo will host four sessions daily.
Bendix 4×4 Test Circuit
Another fresh feature (as promised, it keeps getting bigger) is the Bendix 4×4 Test Circuit, allowing attendees to experience a test drive around a purpose-built track containing six distinct obstacles typically encountered on off-road terrains.
Dual-Wheel Endowments
No 4WD exhibition would be complete without mentioning the enjoyable alternative methods of venturing off-road. You can explore a motorcycle course set up for trial rides, incorporating evaluations and demonstrations of quad bikes and side-by-sides. Thanks to the Mount Hart Station team from West Australian Kimberley, helicopter rides will also be available!
Isuzu Iron Peak
A favorite among the crowd, the Isuzu Iron Peak is making a return, offering visitors an extreme 4×4 experience. Brace yourself as the driver navigates you up a remarkably steep 45-degree climb over a custom-made hydraulic ramp elevated six meters high.

Back again in 2024 is the Engel Bush Camp Stage, featuring special appearances by Jock and Jesse from 4WD24/7, Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure, Ronny Dahl, Sam Eyles, Bridget from Red Dirt Diary, and the crew from Channel 7’s The 4WD Adventure Show.
The Berkeley Fishing Exhibition will return with periodic demonstrations in the Supertank, along with John’s Reptile Awareness exhibit and the Show Your Dirt event. Show Your Dirt is an exclusive show-and-shine competition exhibiting and judging some of the finest rigs on display. From Built Not Bought, Sam Eyles has selected his top 20 vehicles, with the winners being announced on Sunday afternoon.
