As time passed, the Miata underwent growth, and the 2024 model now boasts a 181-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. For a blend of classic and contemporary styles, you have the option to equip the 2024 iteration with new wheels capable of supporting this power bump. RML is introducing a novel retro-themed wheel sized at a substantial 15 inches by 8 inches, resembling the original set, yet more durable and lighter.

RML (standing for Retro-Modern Line) claims these wheels are optimized for maximum brake clearance, enabling the accommodation of larger tires and brake enhancements. The manufacturer applies a manufacturing method known as flow forming, or rotary forging, which exerts pressure within the wheel barrel while rotating and post-casting. This process ultimately elongates and compresses the aluminum, thereby enhancing tensile strength, warranting the $269 per-wheel cost.
If you desire, you can procure a set of inferior unique Daisies on eBay; I stumbled upon a set of four for $250 or individual wheels for approximately $80 each. Alternatively, you could opt for upscale alternatives, such as refurbished wheels selling for $350 each. However, these RMLs are completely new and truly impressive. Here’s the intriguing part: original Miata owners can utilize their existing center caps, as they are compatible with the larger wheels as well.
