Although the McLaren P1 hypercar has not been in production for several years, McLaren has just introduced a new version known as the Foot-to-Floor Edition. While it is essentially a toy push-car, it proudly carries the McLaren name and could be the most affordable offering from this prestigious supercar manufacturer.

Similar to the Step2 McLaren 570S, the P1 Foot-to-Floor Edition aims to engage young automotive enthusiasts with McLaren’s luxurious performance vehicles. Set to launch this December in the vibrant color of Volcano Yellow, this push-car will retail for approximately $47.

An added benefit of the Foot-to-Floor Edition compared to the actual P1 is its minimal environmental impact; it boasts a lower carbon footprint by relying on the energy of a playful three-year-old rather than high-performance hybrid technology.

While this version of the P1 does not offer impressive specs—such as a 0-60 mph time or a top speed defined only by how fast a delivery truck can go—it promises to bring joy to your little one during the holiday season.

For adult fans, McLaren also offers the P1 “Ride-on” Edition priced at $288, featuring full electric power, along with collectible resin models that can cost as much as $450.

The release of the P1 Foot-to-Floor Edition is a part of McLaren’s ongoing celebration marking the fifth anniversary of the P1’s debut, which began as a concept drawing on September 27, five years ago. By December 2015, all 375 units of the P1 had been produced, paying tribute to the legendary McLaren F1 road car and historical Formula 1 vehicles. The P1 was the inaugural vehicle in McLaren’s Ultimate Series lineup, which is expected to welcome a new member next year..
