As the Geneva Motor Show approaches, McLaren has been actively sharing details about its new mid-range supercar, the 720S. The latest update reveals that this exciting model will feature an advanced digital gauge display that can fold in and out of the dashboard.
According to a press release from McLaren, the innovative display offers two viewing modes for drivers. For those times when reducing distractions is essential, drivers can choose to use the folded screen option, which provides essential information such as the selected transmission mode, speed, and RPMs. When the display is fully extended, it reveals an 8-inch screen showcasing a larger speedometer, tachometer, trip details, vehicle status, fuel gauge, outside temperature, warning indicators, and all other typical digital gauge features.
The 720S is set to replace the 650S and will come with several impressive capabilities, including a drift mode. McLaren has previously stated that the 720S can accelerate from 0 to 124 miles per hour in just 7.8 seconds, powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The car can also decelerate to a complete stop from that speed in a mere 4.6 seconds.
