Danish toymaker Lego has announced that it will soon launch a licensed Aston Martin DB5 set featuring the iconic gadgets and weaponry from the classic James Bond film, Goldfinger.

The model boasts a miniature version of the car’s real-life 4.0-liter, dual overhead cam inline-six engine under its hood. Inside, it showcases a car phone and a hidden tracking screen reminiscent of the one James Bond used to trace Tilly Masterson through Switzerland.

The set allows builders to activate various features with a simple touch, including rotating license plates, extending tire-shredding spikes, a pop-up bulletproof shield located behind the rear window, and front-mounted machine guns that can be unveiled by shifting the gear lever. A standout feature is the ejector seat, which can be activated by pulling the rear bumper, demonstrating that this is not a mere plaything. Additionally, seasoned Lego enthusiasts may want to note four pieces included in new colors.

The finished DB5 model measures over 3 inches in height, 4 inches in width, and 13 inches in length, and it is made of 1,290 pieces. This set will be available for purchase online and in Lego stores starting August 1, retailing in the United States for $149.99. This release coincides with the launch of a much larger Bugatti Chiron set, priced at $350 and consisting of 3,599 pieces. While the Chiron offers better value in terms of pieces per dollar, it does not feature an ejector seat.

For those interested in experiencing the set firsthand before its official launch, it will be on display at the San Diego Comic Con. Attendees can visit the Lego booth in Hall D, number 2829, for a briefing from Lego’s Q Branch, who take their work seriously.
