From one end of the country to the other, the JConcepts racing squad continues to dominate! Discover our triumphant achievements in this week’s Race Team Update!
Our journey this week commences at LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA. The past weekend saw the Northeast Showdown trophy competition with a turnout of 266 participants! Let’s delve into the results, starting with our ace driver Ethan Mackanick who excelled in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy and Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy events, clinching 4th place in truggy and securing the TQ spot and victory in buggy! Also on the nitro buggy podium were our talented drivers Dylan Raposo (2nd), Paul Ciccarello (4th), and Aydan Manchanda (5th)! Notably, Aydan also challenged in the 1/8 Electric Truggy category, overcoming two DNFs during qualifying, starting from the lower D Main, and impressively finishing 5th in the finals!
Even his mother Bree showcased her skills at this event, triumphing in the MotoMom category while steering Aydan’s e truggy to a victorious finish!
In diverse events, Joey Bourdon engaged in three classes. While unfortunate in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy group with a DNF in the finals, he redeemed himself in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy by claiming the TQ spot and ultimately triumphing, also securing a win in the 1/8 Nitro Truggy category! Also shining on the e-buggy podium were our team members Paul Ciccarello (4th) and Garrett Hawbaker (5th)!
Additionally, Garrett achieved a commendable 2nd place finish overall in the 1/8 Electric Truggy division!
Our skilled driver Adam Curry proudly announced his 2nd place overall standing in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy competition, as well as securing victory in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!
Our team member Tom Petrella also vied in the same two 40+ divisions, securing the 11th position in nitro buggy after a DNF and claiming 5th place in e buggy!

Shifting gears to the “Hoosier state,” we now present the next update from team racer Ben Ellis. He recently participated in the Derby Hangover trophy event at the Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in New Albany, attracting 121 entries!
The participant competed in the Skilled 17.5 and Variation 2wd Buggy categories, achieving 2nd place in 17.5 and securing victory in the Variation category!

Traveling to the “Show me state,” we connect with squad pilot Brad Dean. During the previous weekend, he participated in the OutLaw Lane RC Race Track in Crocker for the 9th Annual Ozark RC Shootout. Upon completion, he secured 3rd place in Outlaw Sprint, 2nd place in Open Late Model, and he also clinched the TQ and triumph in Midwest Modified!

Embarking northward, we receive the next report from squad member Joe Scaramell. Over the preceding weekend, he engaged in Round 1 of the MNRC Minnesota Off-Road Racing Series staged at Southern Minnesota RC Raceway in Blooming Prairie, MN.
Post the event, he achieved 6th place in the B Main for 1/8 Nito Buggy, alongside two 4th place finishes in 40+ 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy!

Our subsequent destination is Omaha, NE, home to the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex (The Plex). The previous weekend marked Round 2 of their Summer Series with 132 entries! Let’s review the JConcepts team’s performance, beginning with team member Brandon Kearney. He shares that he concluded 8th overall in Mod 2wd Buggy and secured 7th place in Mod 4wd Buggy!
JC pilot Andrew Thomas seized the TQ and victory in the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy divisions! Alongside him on the 17.5 2wd podium were his wheel comrades Daniel Bender (2nd) and Dalton Conradt (3rd) for a full JConcepts podium sweep! Dalton also secured the 2nd spot in 13.5 4wd Buggy!
JConcepts competitor Bradley Peterson informed us of his 6th place in 17.5 2wd Buggy and securing the 5th spot in 13.5 4wd Buggy!
Competitor Tom Rinderknecht achieved dual triumphs in this round by securing the TQ and victory in Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy! Joining him on the Mod 2wd podium to complete another JConcepts podium
succeed were group racers Nick Gibson (2nd) and Mason Herrick (3rd)! Mason also secured the 3rd spot in Mod wheeler too!
Driver David Peavler from JC mentioned his placements of 5th in 17.5 2wd Buggy and 3rd overall in 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy!
Ethan Delair, a JConcepts aviator, competed in the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy divisions, concluding in the 8th position in mod wheeler and 7th in Mod 2wd!

Let us now head over to Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, TX for the upcoming news. Over the previous weekend, they organized the “The Dirt” Lonestar Challenge, attracting 375 participants!
Brian Henn, a team racer, took part in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, closing the event with a 9th place in e buggy and securing 3rd place in e truggy after all the AA Mains!
Also in the competition was Tyler Keel, another team member, who wrapped up his performance with a 10th spot overall in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy!
Calvin Bruce, a JC driver, participated in two categories at the event, achieving a 4th place in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy and securing 2nd place in Expert 1/8 Electric Truggy!
His child Braden accomplished the 2nd position overall in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy, in addition to obtaining the TQ and victory in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy category!
Brian Germany, a JC driver, competed in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy group and completed the race with a 4th place finish!
His fellow tire colleague Cameron Breaux engaged in the Pro 1/8 Electric and Nitro buggy groups, concluding with a 15th place in nitro and an overall 8th position in e buggy!

Traveling westward, we now land at Fast Eddie’s Hobbies in Yuma, AZ. They commenced their night racing series last Thursday, with team driver James Rodriguez clinching the TQ and victory in the VTA
Team group!

Venturing further west, our journey takes us to sunny California. Several RC competitions were happening in the area, and our initial update comes from team member Chris Raceles. Last Saturday, he participated in Round 5 of the Supercross Series held at SDRC in San Diego. Following the day’s races, he secured the top qualifier position in the 40+ 2wd and 4wd Buggy categories, as well as the 13.5 Stadium Truck class! He then proceeded to compete in the main races, finishing second in the 40+ wheeler division and clinching victories in the other classes!

The Monster Jam Finals occurred at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood over the weekend, alongside the RC Monster Jam World Finals. Representing the team was JC racer Jessica Dahl, who secured a commendable 2nd place finish in the Freestyle category!
Competing in the Racing, High Jump, and Freestyle competitions at this event was team driver Michael Letcher, showcasing his ThunderRoarUs and Earthshaker replica trucks!
JConcepts racer Jeremy Bunting also partook in this event. While not securing any podium finishes, he undoubtedly entertained the audience with his performance!
Driver Ethan Saunders from JC also participated in this event, securing a top 8 finish in the racing segment and an impressive 3rd place overall in Freestyle!
Teammate Josh Rhodes achieved victories in both the High Jump and Freestyle categories at this event!

Our next stop is HRCR (Hayden Radio Control Raceway) in Hayden, ID, to check out the team’s performance at Round 1 of the WERC series. This race served as a warm-up for the upcoming ROAR Fuel 1:8 Nationals set to take place later this summer, attracting a total of 230 participants! Team member Evan Roeth competed in three categories but unfortunately, due to rain, the program was cut short. Final standings were determined by qualifying results, with Roeth finishing 4th in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class and securing top qualifiers and wins in the Spec Tire 1/8 Electric Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Truggy divisions!
JC racer Brenden Bartlett was also in attendance at this race, qualifying in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy categories but was unable to partake in the main events. Nevertheless, he had an enjoyable experience!
Shane Preugschat, a driver for JConcepts, took part in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy category, and fortunately, the event occurred on Saturday night just before the rain arrived, resulting in a 2nd place finish for him overall!

Our latest update this week is brought to us by Australian team member Ben Panic. Over the past weekend, the ACT championships were hosted in Canberra, Australia, and he secured a 6th position in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy A main!
In addition, his son Zac managed to secure a 3rd spot on the podium in the Juniors division!
