Entering a fresh month brings the familiar tale of the JConcepts race crew securing victories worldwide! Discover all the exciting details in this week’s Racing Team Update!

Shane Preugschat

Our report commences this week in the Pacific Northwest. Round 2 of the Northwest Championship Tour unfolded in Yakima, WA, with team pilot Shane Preugschat securing 3rd place in the Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy category, TQ and 2nd place in 1/8 Nitro Truggy, and also claiming the TQ spot and victory in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy division!

Journeying to Arizona, we pause at Hobby Action RC Raceway in Chandler. During the recent Round 2 of the AZRC Dirt Oval series held over the weekend, team member James Rodriguez disclosed his 3rd-place finish across the Outlaw Sprint and Super Late Model classes!

Rhett McNair Mike Stoll Tyler Hooks

Transporting to Fort Worth, TX, we now rendezvous at RCCA (RC Car Club of America) for the subsequent update. The club recently hosted its 1st annual Texas State Carpet championships, where team member Rhett McNair achieved 4th place in Mod 4wd Buggy, obtained the TQ position, and had a DNF in Mod 2wd Buggy! Sharing the 2wd podium were fellow JC pilots Mike Stoll (2nd) and Tyler Hooks (1st)! Mike also shared his achievements of securing 10th place in 13.5 4wd Buggy and 3rd place in the 17.5 2wd Buggy category!

Advancing northward, we pause at Taylor Park RC Raceway in Yukon, OK, for the next update. Team member David Alford recently participated in their Dirt Oval Classic event, concluding with a 6th place finish in Late Model!

Ilan Sanderson

Transitioning to Missouri, we arrive at St. Louis Dirt Burners in Kirkwood. The recent Gateway Classic witnessed team member Ilan Sanderson participating in three classes, clinching the 6th spot in Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 5th place in Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy, and securing victory in the Expert 1/8 Electric Truggy category!

Josh Rhodes

Jumping over state boundaries, we land in Illinois for a brief update from team member Josh Rhodes. Eli Field in Monticello hosted the 2024 Horizon Hobby RC Fest featuring monster truck events. Josh secured 3rd place in Pro Modified and 2nd overall in the Open LMT class upon conclusion of the event!

David Fast 1

Returning across the Mississippi, we arrive at Leighton Speedway in Leighton, IA. The track recently hosted the 1st Annual Wild Bill’s Classic, drawing 211 entries!

David Fast 2

A participant from the team, David Fast, took part in the 360 and 410 Sprint Car divisions. He managed to secure the 6th spot in the lower finals for the 410 class and an overall 9th position in the 360 category!

Our journey continues to Wisconsin where we explore New Franken, home to Dirt Heaven Hobby & Raceway. In a recent event of their Summer Series, Ryan Derenne participated at this venue.

After the competition, he secured the 4th spot in Stadium Truck and came in 3rd in 1/8 Electric Truggy!

Chuck Berg 1

Traveling to Ohio, we met with team member Chuck Berg. He participated in the Nitro vs. Electric trophy event at TARCAR in Toledo over the weekend and clinched the 2nd place position in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy competition!

Aaron Buran and Steve Culbert

Aaron Buran, another team contender, participated in the same event. He achieved the Top Qualifier position and emerged as the winner in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy segment! Accompanying him on the podium was his teammate Steve Culbert with a 2nd place finish!

Joey Bourdon 1st Brandon Marsh 4th

One more team member, Joey Bourdon, participated in the same race and scored victories in both the 1/8 Electric Buggy and Nitro Truggy shootout classes! Alongside him on the electric buggy podium was his teammate Brandon Marsh, securing the 4th position!

Further east, at Riverview RC Raceway in Jersey Shore, PA, Matt Adams from the team participated in a dirt oval event over the weekend where he secured the 2nd place in Midget and a 1st place in 17.5 Sprint!

Traveling even further east, we catch up with another team driver, Matthew Sousa. He recently attended the 3rd Round of the Race Turf Series at RC Madness in Enfield, CT and emerged victorious in both the 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd Buggy categories!

Embarking on the coastal journey, we head towards Thunder RC Raceway in Lumberton, NC. They recently organized the Bounty trophy competition which awarded $500 to the victor of the Pro buggy!

Maddy Long and Marlowe Bright

Competing at this race was the team driver Marlowe Bright, who secured 3rd place in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 2nd place in Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy! Seizing the TQ and triumph in pro e buggy was his fellow team member Maddy Long!

She also clinched the 5th spot in Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy, while her father and team driver Rusty Mihelich secured the victory in the 40+ 1/8 Electric Buggy category!

Carter, the son of Marlowe, also graced the podium at this event with his 3rd place finish in Sportsman 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Gene Shrout Jr. 3rd

Trekking down to Savannah, GA, we make a pit stop at Phil Hurd Raceway to receive this brief update from team racer Gene Shrout Jr. This circuit hosted Round 3 of the SCORE points series, with Gene securing the 3rd position overall in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy classification!

Our final update this week arrives from Australian team racer Ray Munday. Teaming up with his son Lachlan, they journeyed to Mildura in regional Australia for Mallee Madness 16, which also served as the 2nd round of the Victorian Drivers series. Post-event, Lachlan achieved the 2nd spot in Mod 4wd Buggy, securing the TQ and triumph in Mod 2wd Buggy and Stadium Truck! Meanwhile, Ray finished 3rd in Mod 2wd Buggy and 2nd overall in Mod Stadium Truck!
