An upcoming colossal cruise vessel heading towards Miami in the upcoming year will feature an open-air space tailored for families. Expect a gamut of attractions ranging from a water amusement park, an 11-story slide, to an exhilarating Chiffhanger ride.
Making its grand entrance in the Spring of 2025, MSC World America is set to join the ranks of the world’s top 10 largest cruise ships upon its debut. It will be stationed in Miami, Florida, offering week-long sailing excursions to the Caribbean.
MSC Cruises recently disclosed that the upper deck of MSC World America will host an outdoor zone for families named the Harbour.
The Harbour will comprise the following eight elements:
- Harbour Aquapark
- Jaw Drop @ The Spirla
- Rock-Climbing Wall
- High Trail Ropes Course
- The Harbour Light House
- The Harbour Bar & Bites
- Family Dwelling Area
- Cliffhanger
The Harbour Aquapark will feature water slides and a splash area, offering a variety from raft glides to a 90-degree plunge via a trapdoor. Visitors can partake in dueling body slides and challenge their pals.
The Jaw Drop @ The Spiral will be an impressive 11-story slide connecting the Harbour to the World Promenade below.
An engaging rock-climbing wall will be a highlight in this area, sure to capture the attention of youngsters.
The High Trail Ropes Course will present numerous challenges and two Sky Rail zip lines across two floors, spanning an area of 6,210 square feet.
A scaled-down duplicate of the iconic lighthouse on the cruise line’s private Bahamian island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, The Harbour Light House will house a slide and interactive play stations for children.
The Harbour Bar & Bites will provide an array of complimentary quick bites and beverages.
Designed as a relaxation spot, the Family Dwelling Area offers families well-appointed seating to soak in the picturesque ocean panoramas.
Cliffhanger is set to be the ship’s latest thrilling ride. MSC Cruises had previously unveiled this distinctive feature that will suspend guests over the ship’s edge.
However, the Harbour is not the sole attraction tailored for children on board. Doremiland kids clubs, a hallmark of the cruise line, and the Sportsplex will also be among the ship’s offerings.
Upon its launch on April 12, 2025, MSC World America will set sail from MSC’s newly constructed and soon-to-be North America’s largest cruise terminal in Miami.
