The Lamborghini Huracan successor is one of the most anticipated hypercars of 2024. The manufacturer’s chief of sales and promotional activities Federico Foschini, has now offered some insights on the official launch date.
In a conversation with Autocar, Foschini disclosed that the Huracan successor is scheduled to debut in August this year. The new small-sized Lamborghini will run on a V8 plug-in hybrid powerplant.
Discussing the transition from a naturally aspirated V10 to a V8 PHEV, Foschini expressed, “the overall concept itself it’s far superior to a traditional ICE vehicle.“ He further commented, “There are qualities that you cannot attain without an electric motor; it provides you with the potential to further enhance the capabilities of the engine.”
The power unit itself is speculated to be a high-revving twin-turbo V8 coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The exact specifications, however, remain unclear.
The styling of the Huracan successor will draw inspiration from the manufacturer’s ‘spacecraft‘ philosophy. Hence, we can anticipate design elements influenced by the flagship Revuelto.
Lamborghini has registered a trademark for the ‘Temerario‘ moniker, sparking conjecture that it might potentially be utilized for the Huracan successor.
