Another triumphant weekend unfolded for the JConcepts race crew in May, showcasing their unwavering dominance on the racing circuit! Discover more about their success in the latest Race Team Update!

Our first stop takes us to the sunny state of California. Amidst several weekend events, let’s delve into the performance of team driver James Rodriguez at the World of Dirt Oval Championship race hosted at Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway in Victorville. Rodriguez secured a commendable 4th place in both the Late Model and Mod Sprint categories, adding a crowning achievement by clinching the “Best In Show” award in the concourse!

Further east, in El Centro, we find ourselves at Ricochet R/C Raceway, witnessing JC driver Adam Peters triumph at the final round of their Carpet Off-Road Points Series in the Mod 2wd Buggy class, securing both the TQ position and a tone-to-tone victory!

Rob Moots

Descending south to the city of Auburn at ARC (Auburn RC), team driver Rob Moots showcased his skills in the Mod Sprint class during Round 2 of their Spring Fever Dirt Oval Points Series, culminating in a commendable 2nd place finish!

Don Vinkemulder

Meanwhile, JConcepts driver Don Vinkemulder made his mark at Thunder Alley RC Raceway in Beaumont for Round 2 of the JBRL 1/8 Off-Road Series, clinching 5th place finishes in both the Intermediate 1/8 Nitro Buggy B Main and the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy A Main!

Heading eastward, at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO, the team excelled at Round 1 of their Summer Outdoor Off-Road Series. Noteworthy performances include team driver Shane Alberico’s 4th place finish in the Expert 1/8 Electric Buggy class!

Jake Stoeltzing excelled alongside Alberico, securing a commendable 4th place in the Expert 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

Ashton Abdul

Ashton Abdul, showcasing impressive prowess, secured a 2nd place finish in the expert nitro class, claiming the TQ position and victory in the expert e-buggy category!

Crossing over to the “Land of Lincoln,” team driver Kevin Mcnatt displayed his racing skills at Jacksonville RC Speedway in Jacksonville, emerging victorious in the SC Mod class at their Elite Dirt Oval Series event!

Jacob Sweisberger and Jake Wiggs

At the following stage, we traverse the Mississippi waterway and make our way to Island Speedway in Muscatine, IA. During the recent weekend, they organized a preliminary race for the approaching INS14 Summer Indoor Carpet Nationals. Competing in three categories, team racer Jake Wiggs clinched the 5th spot in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, secured the Top Qualifier position and victory in the 13.5 4wd Buggy and Stadium Truck divisions! Supporting him on the 13.5 podium in 3rd place was colleague JC operator Jacob Sweisberger!

Jacob also attained the 2nd position in Expert 17.5 2wd Buggy, with his tire teammate Talon Henley securing the 3rd spot!

Ryan Derenne 1

Progressing northward, we meet up with team competitor Ryan Derenne. Over the Memorial Day break, he visited Dirt Heaven Hobby and Raceway in New Franken, WI to engage in their commemorative event marking 35 years at the identical site!

He partook in two divisions, culminating in an overall 12th position in 1/8 Electric Truggy and a 4th place in Mod Stadium Truck!

Aydan Manchanda

Jetting eastward, we journey to Barnstormers RC Raceway in Chester, NY. There we encounter team racer Aydan Manchanda, who was present to partake in their Mr. B Day Trophy Race. Engaged in the 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy divisions, he succeeded in securing double Top Qualifications and victories! Subsequently, he also clinched another Top Qualification and victory in the 1/8 Electric Truggy category!

Matt Adams 1

Competitor Matt Adams mentioned his recent participation at Riverview RC Raceway in Jersey Shore, PA for their season opener. Opting for the Midget and 17.5 Sprint Car categories, he excelled by securing the Top Qualification in the initial round of Midget and a 3rd place in the opening Sprint car race! Alas, the event was halted due to rain, but he had an enjoyable initiation to the outdoor race season!

Wade Piggott 1

Advancing towards West Virginia, we arrive at Tri-Cities RC Racing in Lavalette. During the previous weekend, they organized the Brawl For It All trophy race, where team operator Wade Piggott took the Top Qualification in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy division and went on to secure victory, also achieving another win in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy category!

Bella Rogers, his tire colleague, also joined this event and she secured the top position in the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy category, and also clinched the 2nd spot in both buggy classes!

Marlowe Bright

Heading to the shoreline, we now touch base with Marlowe Bright, a JConcepts driver. During the recent weekend, he attended a money race at Turn and Burn Hobby & Raceway in Winston-Salem, NC. He secured the 5th position overall in the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy division, and also entered the main round for the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy category, however, the A Main was called off just 5 minutes into it due to inclement weather. His son Carter was present at this competition as well and he achieved the 2nd spot in the Sportsman 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!

David Olsen

Our final update this week is provided by David Olsen, a member of the team. During the past weekend, he participated in a competition at Phil Hurd Raceway in Savannah, GA, where he emerged victorious in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy category securing both the TQ and the win, as well as triumphing in the 1/8 Electric Buggy division!
