As we progress through July 2024, the temperature outside is rising. Simultaneously, the JConcepts racing team is setting the track on fire, as detailed in this latest Race Team Update!
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Round 2 of the WERC (Wilde Events RC) Series was held in Snohomish, WA. Competing in two classes, team driver Austin Cracknell secure 2nd place in both the Open 1/8 Electric Buggy and Nitro Truggy categories!
Another prominent racer for the team, Shane Preugschat, participated in three classes, claiming the 8th spot in Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 6th place in Open 1/8 Nitro Truggy, and clinching the 1st position in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy. Joining him on the 40+ buggy podium was fellow JConcepts driver Tony Corless securing the 2nd position!
In the recent races, JConcepts driver Evan Roeth displayed top-notch skills finishing 6th in both the Open and Spec Tire 1/8 Electric Buggy classes, along with achieving a TQ and victory in the 1/8 Electric Truggy class!

Heading south to the sunshine state of California, the team received an exciting update from racer Jeremy Bunting. He recently participated in Round 4 of the Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks Series at AMain Hobbies Outback Speedway in Chico.
Being the top qualifier, he emerged victorious in the Challenger Spec class with his “Titan” truck. Additionally, in the 2.6 Monster Truck category, he reached the finals but narrowly missed the win with his “Carnage” truck. Similarly, in the Retro class, he made it to the semi-finals with his “Shotgun” truck!

Now, shifting to Texas, let’s catch up with racer Todd Geary at Indy RC World in Garland for Round 4 of the RC Pro series. Wrapping up the intense day of racing, he secured the 10th place in Open 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 6th place in Open 1/8 Electric Buggy, and a commendable 3rd place in 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy!

Heading up north to Iowa, team driver David Fast shared his recent endeavors at Leighton Speedway, participating in the King of the Corn trophy event. He conquered the 6th place in 410 Sprint and secured the 2nd position in 360 Sprint!

Next, a visit to Webster City, home of Traction City RC, for a glimpse at Round 3 of their Summer points series. Racer David Peavler competed in three classes, achieving a TQ and 2nd place in Mod 2wd Buggy, in addition to securing two more TQs and victories in the 13.5 Stadium Truck and 40+ Mod 2wd Buggy classes!

Embarking on a journey to Wisconsin, we arrive at New Franken where Dirt Heaven Hobby and Raceway is positioned.
The previous weekend marked the 5th rotation of their Summer point series, and team pilot Ryan Derenne informed us that he secured 9th place overall in the 1/8 Electric Truggy category, alongside a 6th place achievement in Mod Stadium Truck!

Heading south, we reach team competitor Lukas Klein. He recently visited Crawler Canyon RC Park in Rockdale, IL to partake in four distinct contests held in a single day. Subsequent to the completion of all the events, he emerged as the overall 1st place winner!

Traveling east, we arrive at TARCAR in Toledo, OH for the following update from team member Mike Legue. This venue hosted The Drake Clinic racing event over the weekend, and Mike secured a 3rd position overall in the 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy categories, in addition to the 1/8 Electric Buggy category! Accompanying him on the nitro buggy podium, securing 2nd place, was his tire associate Adam Drake!

Continuing our journey eastward, we reach LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA. Over the previous weekend, they hosted their Super Cup trophy competition, and team driver Tom Petrella engaged in the 40+ 1/8 Electric and Nitro Buggy events. He clinched the 11th spot in the nitro class and secured an overall 2nd position in e-buggy!
Additionally, competing on behalf of the team in this race was his tire associate Rob Allen, who attained 1st place in the 40+ 1/8 Nitro Buggy class!
JC pilot Gloop Mahey shared that he narrowly missed out on the transfer spot in the 1/8 Electric Truggy division; however, in the Intermediate 1/8 Electric category, he reached the A main and concluded at the 10th position overall!

Concluding our visits, we arrive at Thunder Alley R/C Speedway in Lucama, NC.
The final week of their MidWeek Mayhem Series unfolded at the venue, and team member Josh Parrish conveyed that he secured the 2nd place overall in Mod 4wd Buggy and the 1st position in Mod 2wd Buggy after the total points were calculated!
Emerging with the overall title in the Mod 4wd Buggy segment was his JC comrade Dave McEwen, who also clinched the 2nd position following Josh in Mod 2wd Buggy!
