  • 2 and 3/4 cups (340g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp (40 g) melted butter
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) milk (I prefer soy)
  • 1 packet (2 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 egg

Filling:

  • 3 tbsp softened butter
  • 1/3 cup (70 g) brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

Icing:

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (adjust to preference)

Instructions:

Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, blend flour, sugar, and salt. On a stove or in a microwave, heat the milk and butter until warm (about 110°F). Incorporate the instant yeast, whisking until it’s dissolved, and then mix this with the dry ingredients. Add the egg and stir until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough in the bowl for 5-10 minutes until smooth. Let it rise covered in a warm spot (like the dashboard) while you prepare the filling.

Make the filling: In a separate bowl, mix butter, sugar, and cinnamon to form a paste.

Roll out the dough, add filling, and shape: After allowing the dough to rise for 15-30 minutes, roll it out on a floured surface into an 8” x 14” rectangle. Evenly spread the filling across the dough, then starting from one of the long edges, roll it into a log and cut it into 8 pieces.

  • Allow to rise: Grease the Omnia Oven or use a silicone insert, placing the rolls inside with space for expansion. Let them rise for 60-90 minutes.
  • Bake: These rolls require about 1 hour to bake on a low propane stove. In a conventional oven, they will need 30-40 minutes at 350°F.
  • Prepare the icing: While the rolls bake, combine all icing ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. After baking, allow the rolls to cool slightly before drizzling the icing on top—then enjoy!
