As one of Acura’s top-selling models, the RDX has established itself in the compact luxury SUV market, with sales surpassing 375,000 units since its introduction in 2006. The newly redesigned RDX comes with a complete exterior and interior makeover aligned with Acura’s latest design philosophy, characterized by sleek lines and a modern, tech-savvy look.
Customers can expect various configurations of the RDX, available in multiple trims with options for front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The starting price for the front-wheel drive version of the 2019 RDX is $37,300, excluding an $895 destination fee.
Prominent features of the next-generation RDX include the A-Spec variant, designed for a sportier aesthetic with distinct body styling, a chic leather interior available in red or black, and 20-inch low-profile wheels. Additionally, it boasts the Acura ELS Studio 3D sound system, a 16-channel, 710-watt setup that includes innovative ceiling-mounted speakers. Depending on the chosen trim, buyers can enjoy either 12 or 16 speakers for an outstanding auditory experience.
The 2019 Acura RDX was conceptualized at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and is produced at the brand’s assembly plant in East Liberty, Ohio. An Acura representative confirmed that all trim levels of the completely reimagined RDX, including the sporty A-Spec variant, will be available right away.
