The realm of opulence in the automotive industry is continuously expanding to
meet competitive standards and uphold the prestigious image of luxury brands, and the category of luxury
SUVs is no exception. The most recent demonstration of luxury SUVs ascending into the premium segment is showcased through the introduction of the new Limited variant for the 2019
Infiniti QX60 and QX80. These capacious three-row family vehicles now boast a more sophisticated and refined interior and exterior.
The distinguishing features of the Limited edition are readily apparent. From the elegant external enhancements such as enhanced grilles and wheels to the interior upgrades like quilted, punctured semi-aniline leather seats, Infiniti has successfully differentiated these top-tier SUVs from their standard counterparts.
The QX60 holds the title of Infiniti’s top-selling model due to its reputation, luxurious features, and the accessible third row of seats compared to most competitors. The new Limited variant enhances the vehicle with a dark chrome grille and exterior accents, exclusive 20-inch dark aluminum-alloy wheels, the aforementioned quilted, punctured semi-aniline leather seats, additional quilted leather elements throughout the cabin, and even exclusive floor mats with metallic emblems.
Stepping up to the QX80 size class, one experiences an enhancement in every aspect. In the new pinnacle trim of Infiniti’s flagship SUV, drivers can expect similar dark exterior accents as seen on the QX60 Limited, dark machine-finished 22-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels, and even a Limited-exclusive paint hue: Anthracite Gray.
The interior of this full-size SUV reaches unparalleled levels of luxury. It features two-tone semi-aniline leather/Alcantara-appointed seats (with quilting, contrast piping, and stitching) and a black Ultrasuede headliner that extends down the pillars. The standout feature is the matte silver open-pore Ash wood trim, offering a contemporary luxury aesthetic that aligns with Infiniti’s design philosophy.
We reached out to Infiniti to inquire about potential plans to introduce the Limited variant to other models, and we received confirmation that the brand has “no current announcements regarding Limited editions or packages for models beyond the QX60 and QX80,” in an email. The official debut of these exquisite SUVs is scheduled for the upcoming New York Auto Show.
