The buzz surrounding the new
Tesla Cybertruck is unstoppable, and it’s easy to understand why. With its futuristic cyberpunk design, stainless steel construction, and enthusiastic owners eagerly awaiting their turn behind the wheel for years, this vehicle is perfectly primed for social media fervor. Nevertheless, the
Cybertruck wouldn’t exist without the
Tesla Roadster, the car that laid the foundation for the brand’s success. Currently, you have the opportunity to purchase the lowest-mileage Tesla Roadster available
for sale.
This 2010 Tesla Roadster is up for auction at
Gruber Motors in Phoenix, Arizona,
a specialized facility renowned for repairing, customizing, and selling electric vehicles. Sporting a mere 38 miles on its odometer, this Roadster ranks among the lowest-mileage models known to exist, comparable to those zero-mile specimens uncovered in
China. For many, it’s been quite some time since the original Tesla Roadster was in the limelight,
making it easy to overlook the innovative features it possessed at its launch. Constructed on a modified
Lotus Elise chassis, the Roadster’s design and driver-centric interior, complete with carbon fiber body panels, still exude an aura of sophistication.
This particular Roadster, a 2010 model, boasts several updates over the original 2008 variant, such as a push-button gear selector, additional soundproofing, and manually adjustable coilovers. With a 53 kWh battery pack providing a range of 244 miles and delivering 288
horsepower that propels it to 60 mph in a mere 3.9 seconds, this Roadster has consumed only a fraction of its original battery capacity given its low mileage.
What will it take to acquire a piece of Tesla’s history, a vehicle that essentially serves as a time capsule from the brand’s early days? With only 2,400 units ever produced, the original Tesla Roadster is an exceedingly rare find, and the current hype surrounding the entire Tesla brand could potentially enhance its value even further. Notably, it’s also the sole car residing in space currently. In a previous sale, Gruber Motors sold an 840-mile model for a then-record-breaking $250,000, suggesting that this 38-mile vehicle is poised to surpass that benchmark.
