The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is designed specifically for driving enthusiasts, more so than many previous electric vehicles (EVs). Recognizing that some of these enthusiasts may be new to the world of EVs and charging, Hyundai is implementing several initiatives to ease their transition.

For those who purchase or lease a new Ioniq 5 N, Hyundai is offering a ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger at no additional cost, or a $450 credit for use at ChargePoint’s public charging locations.

The home charger offered is the same model Hyundai provided to other EV buyers last year, and the company is once again including both the charger and installation via its Hyundai Home service. This program, which began in 2022, consolidates various home charging solutions for EV owners, while also offering solar and energy storage options and providing installation quotes.

A hardwired installation from a Hyundai Home service provider is necessary, but it is important to note that Hyundai will not cover installation costs along with any related taxes and fees. Customers have a window of 90 days from their vehicle purchase or lease date to take advantage of the charger offer, and another 180 days to complete the installation. Those who acquired an Ioniq 5 N before July 16, 2024, must redeem the charger offer by October 14, 2024, and finish installation with Hyundai Home by January 12, 2025.

Those who choose the public charging credit also have a 90-day period from the time of their Ioniq 5 N purchase or lease to claim the credit, which can be used within a two-year timeframe.

The Ioniq 5 N raises the bar for enthusiast-focused EVs, incorporating actual track-capable features while delivering impressive straight-line speed and readily available power that many EVs provide. Although charging at racetracks still needs further development, owners of the Ioniq 5 N now have increased charging choices before and after their track experiences.
