Holland America Updates Menu for Pinnacle Grill Steakhouse

Pinnacle Grill, the flagship steakhouse of Holland America Line, is rolling out a revamped menu featuring an array of new dishes. This updated selection showcases fresh seafood and vibrant tastes from ten different regions.

Michael Stendebach, Holland America’s vice president of food, beverage, and room divisions, stated, “The new Pinnacle Grill menu seamlessly combines our classic steakhouse tradition with lively regional flavors and the freshest seafood available.”

The menu’s regional specialties fluctuate depending on the cruise itinerary, with each location featuring unique entrées, main dishes, and desserts.

Here are some regional dishes that guests can enjoy while sailing on Holland America Line’s ships.

Australia: A toasted brioche bun with grilled king prawns, Australian black Angus steak tartare, a roasted rack of lamb paired with feta, seared scallops served with quinoa apple salad, framboise mousse, and red berry pavlova.

Alaska: Introducing Alaska crab and corn chowder, Dungeness crab with tarragon salad, seared Alaskan halibut with Thai red curry, sautéed prawns in garlic butter, and a strawberry Romanoff bread pudding with Grand Marnier.

Asia: Diners can enjoy spicy tuna on crispy rice, seared beef tataki with crispy lotus chips, grilled ribeye steak bulgogi, tandoori lamb chop, scallops in red curry sauce, seared halibut, and mango sticky rice sushi.

Canada/New England: The menu features local Quebec pork and duck terrine, snow crab and corn chowder, Prince Edward Island mussels, venison medallion with huckleberries, steamed little neck clams, and a chocolate tart with marshmallow.

Caribbean: Guests can indulge in crab and shrimp cakes, jerk chicken bao, yellowtail snapper, lobster agnolotti, Cuban mojo pork chop, the fresh catch of the day, and coconut pudding.

Hawaii and South Pacific: Offerings include kalbi chicken tacos, coconut seafood chowder, the fresh catch of the day, kabayaki pork belly, macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi, miso-glazed Hawaiian ono, and piña colada trifle.

Mexico: The highlights are Mexican corn soup, ribeye tacos, red and green grilled snapper, Mexican grilled tenderloin, braised lamb shank (Birria de Borrego), and fresas con crema.

Northern Europe: Diners can enjoy Norwegian-style cured salmon gravlax, asparagus risotto with seasonal fresh morels, venison medallion with huckleberries, Icelandic turbo with roasted porcini, baked Norwegian seafood thermidor, and Kvaefjordkake.

South America: The selection features corn soup, ribeye tacos, grilled beef tenderloin, red and green grilled snapper, lamb chops “gaucho” with lime mint chimichurri, and white chocolate pave.

Southern Europe: This region’s dishes include steamed fresh razor clams, seasonal fresh morels, asparagus risotto, seared veal cutlet, grilled Iberico pork chop, fresh branzino Livornese style, and chocolate parfait.

The lunch menu will showcase the evening’s highlight dishes, and region-specific mixologists will craft cocktails to complement the flavors.

Stendebach reassured guests that many beloved favorites from the old Pinnacle Grill menu remain available. “We’ve retained many of our most popular dishes while excitedly adding a variety of new options,” he shared.

Last year, Holland America increased prices for its specialty dining, with the Pinnacle Grill now costing $45 per adult and $19 for children under 12.
