This Sierra All Mountain concept elevates GMC’s iconic bold design and engineering with tank-like tracks, enabling it to move effortlessly through rugged, icy environments.

This innovative concept is founded on the GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali 4WD Crew Cab platform, perfectly showcasing the brand’s strength and craftsmanship. The All Mountain is designed to handle steep inclines and extreme weather conditions. It features a robust 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 engine, combined with the luxuries of a Sierra 2500HD Denali interior, enhanced by advanced technology and GMC Accessories. As stated in the GMC Pressroom, the Sierra All Mountain concept will also utilize Mattracks technology, which enables it to traverse untamed landscapes while offering premium interior amenities like Bose speakers and high-end leather finishes.

“GMC is committed to delivering premium capability and design, and we aimed to take these characteristics to a new level with this concept,” said Carl Zipfel, an exterior designer at GMC.

Key Features of the Sierra All Mountain Concept:

  • Mattracks 150 Series Tracks with a GMC Red finish
  • Bodyside graphics
  • Wheel well and underbody LED lights
  • Snowboard racks and accessories from Thule
  • Amplifier and Dual Pod Speaker Kit from KICKER
  • RIGID E-Series 30-Inch Light Bar
  • Soft roll-up tonneau cover by Advantage
  • Duramax 6.6-liter Turbo Diesel engine generating 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque

With these impressive features, you’ll be equipped to conquer the most daunting snowy peaks. The potential for adventure seems limitless, and this rugged concept is sure to outshine other off-road vehicles.

Currently, the GMC Sierra All Mountain is on display in Vail, Colorado, throughout the winter season as part of a special partnership with Vail Resorts, Inc. GMC is also collaborating with the Vail Valley Foundation and the Town of Vail, planning to enhance its visibility through vehicle displays, courtesy vehicles, signage, and special events in the area. This initiative is an excellent way to generate excitement around this new model and reach a broader audience.

Rich Latek, GMC’s director of Marketing, commented, “The Sierra All Mountain concept is perfectly aligned with the outdoor activities at Vail properties. This unique truck serves as an engaging way to spotlight GMC and showcase our collaboration with Vail Resorts.”

Additionally, a similar version of the Sierra All Mountain, built on the Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X platform, is set to be unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, taking place from December 1-10 at the LA Convention Center.
