GM: U.S. Second Quarter and Initial Half-Year Sales Surge: Expanding in Electric Vehicles, Leading in Pickup Trucks, and Introducing New SUV Models

In the second quarter of 2024, General Motors Co. and its dealers successfully distributed 696,086 vehicles in the United States, marking a 0.6% increase compared to the previous year. In the first half of 2024, the total number of vehicles delivered in the U.S. stood at 1,290,319, a slight 0.4% decrease from the previous year’s figures.
“Our extensive range of vehicles caters to various preferences, enabling us to excel as a growing number of consumers adopt electric vehicles. Additionally, we are poised to maintain our market leadership for customers who prefer traditional engine technologies,” remarked Marissa West, GM’s Senior Vice President and President of North America.
