Once again, Ford Motor Company has reaffirmed its status as the leading American automaker in terms of vehicle assembly1, vehicle exports from the U.S. to other nations3 and the number of hourly workers employed.

For the sixth consecutive year, Ford has secured the top rank based on the most recent data from S&P Global Mobility.

Speaking on this accomplishment, Andrew Frick, President of Ford Blue, stated, “Ford is a truly American company. We take pride in providing customers with vehicles that reflect the pinnacle of American innovation and creativity.”

At present, Ford employs approximately 57,000 hourly manufacturing workers in the United States, surpassing all other automakers in this regard. Moreover, preparations are in progress for the recruitment of a third shift to produce Bronco and Ranger vehicles at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant, encompassing nearly 900 new recruits.

Furthermore, the combined network of Ford and Lincoln totals over 2,800 dealerships across the U.S., contributing to job creation within the communities they serve.

In the year 2023, Ford manufactured over 1.8 million vehicles in the United States – exceeding other automotive manufacturers by 130,000 units1. This production includes the renowned F-Series truck franchise, comprising gas-powered, hybrid, and electric pickup trucks, all assembled in U.S. facilities in Michigan, Missouri, Kentucky, and Ohio.

Notably, more than 79% of Ford’s U.S. sales consist of vehicles manufactured in the U.S., surpassing all other automakers2.

In 2023, Ford exported 260,000 vehicles manufactured in America – such as the F-150, Bronco, and Mustang – to various countries, exceeding the exports of any other automotive manufacturer3. Approximately one out of every seven vehicles produced by Ford in the U.S. is destined for international markets like Canada, Mexico, China, Puerto Rico, and South Korea4.
