Dodge has generated significant excitement for the debut of its Challenger SRT Demon, a powerful drag racing vehicle that has captivated car enthusiasts. The brand has successfully created a unique aura around this model, an achievement that is often overlooked in the automotive industry. However, new developments have emerged as Fiat Chrysler, Dodge’s parent company, has filed for a trademark for the name “Angel.” What could this signify?

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, this trademark application pertains to “motor vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles, their structural parts, trim, and badges.”

Could this be a more user-friendly iteration of the Demon? Alternatively, might it be a hybrid-performance variant that FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne hinted at in the past? At this stage, it remains uncertain. The name itself stands in stark contrast to Dodge’s latest muscle car, leaving much to speculation.

So far, the manufacturer has not provided any clues about this new development, and it’s unclear when FCA may choose to reveal more information. Marchionne previously stated his intention to electrify half of the company’s vehicle lineup by 2022, suggesting that the “Angel” could potentially align with that strategy.

For now, we are left to speculate until further news surfaces or, hopefully not, if any leaks occur.
