Dodge has generated significant excitement surrounding the launch of its Challenger SRT Demon, igniting a frenzy in the automotive world with this formidable vehicle. The brand has successfully crafted an image of the car that often eludes other vehicle releases, deploying a flair that few can replicate. However, recent developments indicate that Dodge’s parent company, Fiat Chrysler, has filed a trademark application for the name “Angel.” What could this imply?

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the trademark application falls under the classification of “Motor vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles, their structural parts, trim, and badges.”

Could this signify a more user-friendly, road-capable version of the Demon? Or is it possible that it will be a hybrid-performance model, as FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne previously hinted? At this stage, it’s difficult to say. The name “Angel” stands in stark contrast to Dodge’s recently launched muscle car, leaving room only for speculation.

So far, the manufacturer has provided no clues, and it’s uncertain when FCA will unveil further details. Marchionne had stated earlier his intention to electrify half of the company’s fleet by 2022, suggesting that this new model could be part of that strategy.

For now, we’ll have to wait for additional information from the brand or, ideally, some kind of leak to satisfy our curiosity.
