The Aston Martin Vulcan has captivated auto enthusiasts for several years. Recently, the company unveiled an even more extreme version, known as the Vulcan AMR Pro, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Video footage now showcases its thrilling ascent up the event’s 1.16-mile hill.

Aston Martin reports that current Vulcan owners can upgrade their vehicles to the Vulcan AMR Pro to enhance their track performance. Notably, the original Vulcan is already limited strictly to track use, which means the addition of new parts posed no issues for Aston Martin or its owners. The supercar is equipped with a potent 7.0-liter V12 engine capable of exceeding speeds of 200 mph. Only 24 units of the Vulcan were made, but Aston Martin believes its new performance division, AMR, should take the rare supercar to the next level.

In the accompanying video, viewers can witness the Vulcan AMR Pro in action, as it speeds through the course, showcasing its impressive power. This is delivered through a 6-speed transaxle gearbox, featuring paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. The video offers fans two minutes of the thrilling sound of the Vulcan AMR Pro as it impresses thousands of spectators at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

As the driver navigates the track, viewers can hear shifts in the gear as he works to maintain control of the 840-horsepower British supercar. To enhance its track capability, AMR has implemented shorter gear ratios, added louvred panels above the wheel arches, and introduced dive planes at the front. Additionally, a front splitter with turning vanes has been included to improve steering responsiveness.

These aerodynamic improvements, along with a new rear wing equipped with 20mm gurney flaps, provide an impressive 899 pounds of downforce at a speed of 100 mph..
