If one were to happen to crash their Lamborghini and witness it burst into flames, it would be most opportune for it to occur right in front of a firehouse. As per reports from the Fire Department of Denver, two Lamborghini Huracans collided on Thursday evening, resulting in one of them catching fire. Ironically, this incident unfolded right outside Denver FD Station 1 on W Colfax Ave. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

Images released by the Denver Fire Department on Facebook depict a severely damaged dark blue Lamborghini on the pavement, with its V10 engine dislodged from the rear of the vehicle. The other vehicle involved, a purple Huracan, although not as severely wrecked, sustained significant damage to its front and rear ends along with the passenger door.

Prior to the impending long weekend, the DFD issued a reminder, stating, “Public Service Announcement: Exercise caution while driving this weekend. Numerous events downtown. Last night, an accident involving two Lamborghinis resulted in a vehicle catching fire right in front of Station 1. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.”

Equipped with a formidable 5.2-liter V10 positioned behind the passenger compartment, the Lamborghini Huracan, depending on the model, generates over 600 horsepower. Similar to other high-end sports cars, incidents like these often lead to the vehicle catching fire, with the separated engine designed as a safety measure, providing a buffer between the occupants and the potentially combustible motor.

It remains uncertain whether the fire brigade “reached” the location after a distress call or if they arrived upon hearing a loud noise and witnessing a flaming Lamborghini at their doorstep. Irrespective, one would assume that this incident likely resulted in a new record for response time.
