Malaysia will witness the arrival of the 2024 Honda Gold Wing Tour priced at RM212,888, exclusive of road tax, insurance, and registration fees. The new price reflects a minor increase from its 2023 price of RM210,888. Interested buyers can expect to find the Gold Wing Tour at all authorized Honda BigWing dealers across the nation starting August 2024.
The legendary Gold Wing boasts a flat-six engine with a displacement of 1,833 cc, delivering 124.7 hp at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Power from the engine is managed by a cutting-edge Honda 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox, now in its third iteration, along with shaft final drive.
Equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle system, the Gold Wing Tour offers four distinct ride modes – Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain. These modes collaborate with the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), a form of traction control, where the clutch feel, shift speed, and rpm range of up/downshifts are finely tuned to suit each riding mode.
This time around in Malaysia, the Gold Wing Tour showcases the option of Heavy Gray Metallic as a color choice, alongside the customary luggage, providing a total capacity of 61 liters for storage, while a compartment in the fuel tank retains a USB charging port. The Gold Wing Tour, as anticipated, offers various riding conveniences, inclusive of an electronically adjustable windshield and cruise control.
An impressive 7-inch TFT-display supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity to the rider’s mobile device. Additionally, self-canceling turn signals are integrated, and LED lighting is universally adopted.
