A driver in Wisconsin has been arrested after he lost control of his Ram 1500 pickup truck and crashed into a home, creating a scene reminiscent of a stunt from classic television shows.

Joe Nyre, the homeowner, was enjoying a Saturday afternoon in his garage while watching his local college football team when he suddenly heard a loud crash. Realizing something was seriously wrong, he discovered that a pickup had crashed into his house, becoming lodged in the roof.

Concerned for the driver’s safety, Nyre went to check on him and instructed his wife, who was home at the time, to call 911. He found the driver trying to exit the vehicle but advised him to remain inside due to the precarious angle of the truck.

Emergency crews arrived swiftly, bringing a large tow truck to remove the pickup from the structure while police began investigating the events that led to the truck being lodged in the roof.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, including the driver and Nyre, who was only a few feet away from where the crash occurred. The cause of the driver’s loss of control remains unclear, but he is currently in police custody.

Authorities later confirmed that the 37-year-old driver was speeding when he lost control. His vehicle left the road, crossed a grassy water retention area, and traversed a neighbor’s backyard, where it knocked down a small tree and narrowly avoided other plants. Eventually, the truck hit an embankment near Nyre’s property, which acted as a ramp, launching the Ram nearly 60 yards straight into the house’s roof.

It has been reported that the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. This incident marks his third offense related to intoxicated driving, and he now faces charges of reckless driving, as well as possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to local news sources..
