Dodge has unveiled the latest chapter in the saga of its high-powered 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat, announcing that the new model will be named the Demon. While detailed information remains limited, two key features are confirmed: it will sport large drag tires and produce a distinctive supercharger whine.

In a press release issued Thursday, Dodge revealed that the Demon will feature lightweight 18×11 wheels equipped with 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R drag racing tires on both the front and rear. The company claims that this marks the first time a production car has been delivered from the factory with drag tires. To accommodate the larger tires, the Demon will have fender flares that expand the vehicle’s width by 3.5 inches. Additionally, it will weigh 200 pounds less than the Hellcat, catering to enthusiasts who prioritize speed and agility.

As anticipation builds for the New York International Auto Show in April, Dodge has been steadily releasing teaser videos showcasing the Demon. The most recent video, posted on the Dodge YouTube channel on Thursday, features an impressive burnout accompanied by what sounds like supercharger whine.

According to the launch website Dodge created for the Demon, another teaser video is scheduled for release next week, promising further insights into this exciting new model..
