While you frequently encounter them with charming modifications or additional cargo storage for long travels, this particular model comes with cargo boxes, a trailer hitch, a sidecar, and beautifully detailed airbrush artistry that captures its essence. It truly represents the pinnacle of the Gold Wing experience.
Recently, my friend Joel and I found ourselves reminiscing about aging and our unapologetic admiration for Honda Gold Wings. I once dreamt of tearing off all the fairings of a ‘Wing and transforming it into a hot rod by flipping the handlebars. These days, I find myself yearning to settle behind those protective fairings, with my wife beside me and our dog in the sidecar, cruising leisurely along Pennsylvania’s scenic backroads.
It seems the creator of this 2004 Gold Wing, paired with a California Friendship II sidecar, shared a similar vision. The eye-catching sidecar, reminiscent of a Disney ride, initially drew me in, but it was the intricate murals and pinstriping that truly won my heart. Everything about it is just so well done.
On the rear of the bike, the names “Joe and Nancy” are elegantly scripted, accompanied by not one but two murals depicting the motorcycle, presumably piloted by Joe and Nancy, soaring off into space, with a couple of jetpack-wearing dogs in the backdrop.
This motorcycle is being offered for sale with 62,583 miles on the odometer, a notably high figure for a bike, indicating that previous owners enjoyed this ride a great deal. You can continue their adventure—it’s currently up for sale in northwestern New York State for $11,900.
Some of the advertisement’s photos are oddly low-resolution, leaving me puzzled as to whether the cord for that 0.5-megapixel camera is still around. However, there are plenty of clear images showcasing the artwork for us to admire.
That’s all I wanted—to share this incredible artwork and give a nod to Joe and Nancy for covering so many miles on this bike. Additionally, the sidecar setup is quite impressive. It’s not a Honda product but rather an aftermarket model known as the California Friendship II, effectively making the Gold Wing a three-wheeler. With two parallel seats, this motorcycle could potentially transport four passengers comfortably. Quite the sight!
