If you’ve been exploring options for Toyota SUVs available for purchase, you might have encountered several articles about one of the year’s most anticipated models, the 2017 Toyota C-HR. According to Toyota, the “C-HR” stands for “Coupe High Rider.” While this might evoke images of a sporty two-door coupe with signature Toyota design features, the new C-HR is actually a compact five-door crossover.

Traditionally, Toyota vehicles have been recognized for their conservative aesthetics, but the C-HR attempts to break this mold. Notably, the rear door handles are cleverly integrated into the C-pillars, and the interior showcases a distinct diamond theme, appearing on the ventilation controls, headliner embossing, and door panels. Although the C-HR introduces a fresh style for the brand, it maintains classic elements, such as the digital clock that has been a staple in Toyota vehicles for over 30 years, prominently displayed on the dashboard.

In the United States, the C-HR will feature a two-liter four-cylinder engine, coupled with a continuously variable automatic transmission that operates similarly to a traditional automatic. The lower-tier trims will come with 19-inch wheels, while the higher-tier trims will be equipped with 21-inch wheels. All trims will include all-terrain tires.

Although the new Toyota C-HR has not yet arrived at our Wilkes-Barre, PA dealership, we anticipate its arrival in the spring of 2017. We believe the 2017 Toyota C-HR is poised to quickly become one of the top-selling models in our new vehicle inventory.

Be sure to regularly check our blog for updates on the 2017 Toyota C-HR’s impending arrival. We will provide information about when this exciting crossover will be available at MotorWorld Toyota and share additional details as they emerge.
