Get ready to witness the latest masterpiece by Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera at The Quail on August 16, 2024.
A glimpse of the upcoming grand tourer has been shared through intriguing teaser images, suggesting a front-engined coupe. The design cues will draw inspiration from the iconic Ferrari 575M, evident by the flat rear fascia captured in one of the images.
Anticipated to be underpinned by the Ferrari 812 Superfast, this new Grand Tourer will boast a customized carbon fiber body with subtle nods to the 575M. Observing closely reveals design elements reminiscent of Ferrari’s flagship GT from the 2000s, featuring a sleek grille, a pointed nose section, a central intake on the hood, and dual extractor vents on the sides.
Although the engine details are yet to be confirmed, it’s speculated that Touring’s new Grand Tourer will likely be equipped with the same 6.5-liter V12 engine found in the 812 Superfast, generating a remarkable 789 hp at 8,500 rpm and 530 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm.
An intriguing feature of this car is Touring’s decision to swap the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for a traditional manual gearbox equipped with a gated shifter.
